A Note Regarding Our Warranty Procedures


Due to the number of different products and manufacturers that we offer, there are specific warranties that are applicable to each of our different products; however, the service portion of our warranty is largely the same. All warranties are expressly between the purchaser and manufacturer. During the first year, service is provided at no charge from P&J Custom Window Coverings. After the first year, there is a service charge for any repairs done at the customers' home, or the homeowner has the option of sending the product directly to the manufacturer at no charge. For any service or repair work done on products over 1 year old, customers are required to submit a copy of the original sales order in advance to our warranty department. Due to the changing laws and regulations in California regarding identification theft and consumer privacy, P&J Custom Window Coverings does not have any specific customer information available on orders over 1 year old, unfortunately this is solely for the protection of our customers and we apologize for any inconvenience. Sending in a copy of your original order will also expedite our service department in repairing your product in the fewest amount of visits to your home and in the shortest amount of time and in some instances, we may be able to repair your product with just one visit.

Most products sold by P&J have a lifetime warranty on the product. We recognize the lifetime of a window covering to be 7 years. The service portion of the product warranty is 1 year. If a window covering is working properly on the date of installation, it likely will never have any issue that does not fall into misuse or improper operation, other than the normal wear and tear that is to be expected on products that can last decades in a home. You will find us easy to work with and we can usually repair most at no charge when delivered or shipped to P&J with a copy of your original invoice. If you would like us to come out and service or repair on-site there will be some charges. Many window coverings, blinds, shades, and rollers may not be worth the cost to ship and that is why we offer a “buy-back & upgrade” program to our valued customers.

2001-2008 - The product is covered 100% if not abused or misused.

The following service charges may apply:
35.00 on-site charge with a copy of the original P&J invoice
100.00 on-site charge without a copy of the original P&J invoice
70.00 on-site charge for any additional visits  
Our service technicians may require an additional visit after initially accessing your problem and also if we do not have the replacement parts on our truck or in stock. We may also need to remove your product and have it repaired at the factory.

2009-2014 - The product is covered 100% if not abused or misused.

The following service charges may apply:
35.00 on-site charge with a copy of the original P&J invoice
100.00 on-site charge without a copy of the original P&J invoice
70.00 on-site charge for any additional visits
  Our service technicians may require an additional visit after initially accessing your problem and also if we do not have the replacement parts on our truck or in stock. We may also need to remove your product and have it repaired at the factory.

2015-Present -  The product is covered 100% if not abused or misused.

The following service charges may apply:
50.00 on-site charge with a copy of the original P&J invoice
100.00 on-site charge without a copy of the original P&J invoice
100.00 on-site charge for any additional visits
  Our service technicians may require an additional visit after initially accessing your problem and also if we do not have the replacement parts on our truck or in stock. We may also need to remove your product and have it repaired at the factory.

Current Year of Production – No Charge

With P&J’s lifetime warranty, you have four options to resolve your issues:
1 – We will mail your parts and instructions with YouTube video support.
2 – You can return your parts via mail, UPS, or deliver to our factory and we will repair and return them to you at our cost.
3 - We will buy your broken shades or blinds and apply to the purchase of a new window covering.
4 – On-site service & repair (charges will apply)

All above service charges cover the first 35 minutes. If the repair requires more time, additional charges will apply.
